The RTX 4070 gpu is built on the NVIDIA Ada Lovelace Architecture, which according to Nvidia is twice fast and efficient then the RTX 3070. The 4070 GPU features 4th gen Tensor cores, 3rd gen RT (ray-tracing) cores, Al powered Nvidia DLSS 3, 5888 CUDA cores, 2.48GHz boost clock, 192bit memory interface and 12GB GDDR6X memory. The Nvidia RTX 4070 is a great graphics card made for 4k video editing, streaming, and 2k gaming. The RTX 4070 proves to be a great card for fps games at 2K high settings. Has the power to deliver above 60fps in story line games at 4K high settings.

RTX 4070 performance is actually different than what Nvidia says. It has CUDA Cores 5888 which were in the previous 3070. In benchmarking, this card is 20-25% faster than the previous generation. But the boost clock is high which is helpful in gaming.

Basically RTX 4070 is 20-25% better than the previous RTX 3070. Better to buy RTX 4070 for 2K gaming.

Our Opinions – RTX 4070
Basically Nvidia has made and shown the RTX 4070 to be weak so that it can sell the 4070Ti to customers and make more money. Because there is a lot of performance difference between these two graphics cards. There is not much difference between the Nvidia RTX 3070 and RTX 4070 apart from the boost clock and Ada Lovelace architecture. Maybe you are wiser.
Is the RTX 4070 a better buy?
Maybe yes if you’re a gamer. Because it’s good card for 2K ultra settings gaming.
How much better is the RTX 4070 than the RTX 3070?
20-25% performance improvement in gaming. Minor improvements for content creators.
